Stratholme and other meanderings...

Last night a buddy and I ran Stratholme for kicks. He brought his 70 Tauren Druid, I took Gracepresure. We tore up the place! Pally tanking in there is like shooting fish in a barrel. I pretty much just stood around spamming consecrate and holy wrath, and things just died. Really I just wanted the achievement, and while it was not an effective way to make gold, I did farm the heck out of runecloth and AD rep. I'll likely go back a few more times for more runecloth as I'm still not exaulted with the Horde factions. And runecloth sells pretty well on my server for exactly this reason.

I can easily solo the place, as I proved when I went back last night after dumping my bags. A good number of blue drops, ok greens too. The non-soulbound items arealrady sold on the AH. I found a severe lack of buyable gear on the AH for lvls 50-60 last night. I had good stuff to list, and most of it got snapped up pretty quick. I also got the Cannonball Runner trinket in a drop. It's a silly trinket, I think I'm keeping it for the fun factor, despite it being too low for really effective damage. It drops a cannon in front of you to shoot at your enemies. They really should have a trinket achievement, there's sooo many fun ones out there. There may be one, I just don't know about it...

This morning is the dreaded maintenance day. All servers were down, making me happy I hit the snoozebar about 47 times. I figured they would all be down, this being the last scheduled maintenance before the xpac on Thursday. But my usual morning is made brighter by the prospect of finishing a few dailies while I soak up my coffee. I'm hoping to run Gruuls or Mags this week before everyone and their sister is running around like a chicken with their heads cut off, levelling and exploring the new content. I'm pretty sure we'll be running a few of the old school instances again, but it will definitely be harder to get groups together than it has been.

The past three weeks have been daily pugs of all major instances right from the guild members signed on. We usually have 20-30 70s online at any given time, and we've been running instances left and right. But I started my new job and just haven't felt like running anything for 2-3 hours by the time I get home. This week is better, but of course the xpac comes out. *sigh* I'll get through what I can, I'm sure we'll be trying stuff as we lvl to test our uber-ness..

Then, of course, I did my fishing daily. It was the baby crocodile one that amuses me to no end. yay for urban legend references, I fished one up on the first shot in Org. I usually catch Old Crafty every time too, apparently my uber fishing skillz are hard for him to resist over and over....
