Feel the Burn...

I gave in.

Amazon.com failed me, so I gave in.

I was trying to deny the level of geek I'm at and be happy with just getting my copy of WotLK in the mail from Amazon. I checked on my order status today and just sighed. Even with overnight shipping, they couldn't get me the xpac until Monday at the earliest. So I cancelled, even after calling the nice Indian man in customer service to verify their lame shipping. Nope, not until Monday.

Cancel.

So I start calling around for a midnight opening at Gamestops, and join my local WoW addicts in a plot to get the xpac. I'm stopping on my way home from work to reserve 5 of the damn things for all of us. Then off to get a nap so when I crack the silly thing open and start installing, like I know I will, I won't utterly destroy my chances of staying awake at work tomorrow.

Random kind of related note - if you select overnight shipping on an item on Amazon, you won't be able to cancel it once the order is processed. They shack that puppy into production so fast you won't have a chance to change your mind. As a result, I'm getting my copy of Sleeping Beauty that I ordered with Wrath tomorrow... just what I needed.
